Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida

what are the requirements for naturalization through marriage? on uscis.gov it says 3 yrs marriage AND 3 yrs green card. We have recently been told we only need one or the other.... which is true?

Has to be married to a US citizen for at least 3 years AND be a lawful permanent resident for at least 3 years. If in doubt about your eligibility for naturalization and whether you personally meet ALL the requirements, consult an attorney or read the Naturalization Guide at www.uscis.gov
