Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida
my son waiting on a date from immigration but i just found out that his jamaican passport expire,if i try to renew it now i might not get the new one before i get the date.is it better to go with a expire passport or go without.because if i renew it they gonna keep the old one.
1 Answer from Attorneys
What your son had applied for? What date from immigration he is waiting for?
If he applied AND is eligible for adjustment of status, then it doesn't matter if a foreign national passport is expired. Most important is to have a proof of a lawful admission (visa, admission stamp, I-94 card).
