Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida

What happens if someone came to U.S on a tourist visa. She got married to an American citizen. They have been married for 61/2 years & living together 71/2 years. She became a U.S. Citizen a year and half ago and sponsored her mom, who is legally here on a permanent resident status. Will the divorce between her & her husband (which is yet to be filed) affect her mom or her status? Will she loose her citizenship?

She is free to divorce her husband - it will not affect her US citizenship or her mother's permanent residency,

Hi,

The divorce will present no problem. She will be able to sponsor her mother as a U.S. citizen.
