Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida
Hello, I came to USA legally. I have been here over 10 years which means I'm over-stayed illegal immigrant. I have 1 year old child. I'm single. My question is if there is any way to get a green card. Thank you so much for your reply Nicole

No, you cannot get a green card just because you have been living in USA for over 10 years -- unless you are placed for removal (deportation) into the immigration court removal hearings. Then, you might be able to apply for cancellation of removal (provided that you've been in US for 10 years at least; have always paid taxes; a person of good moral character; and your child will suffer extreme hardship if you were to be removed, etc. etc. Please leep in mind that it's extremely difficult to have a cancellation of removal approved. If approved, you will get a green card.
