Legal Question in Juvenile Dependency in Florida

Warrant Matters

If you have a minor charge, and p.o. violation, Ran away from home and are now 18, and would like to get a job, is it possible for you to do so without the police picking you up unexpectedly at your new workplace? Can you get an i.d with a warrant from a juvenile charge and are now a legal adult? Can you also get your social security card with a warrant.

Re: Warrant Matters

I don't really have enough information to give you a complete answer. But short answer, yes, you can be violated on a juvenile probation charge, even if you are now 18. There is nothing that I know that prohibits you getting a social security card. You should contact the attorney or public defender's office and usually they can tell you if there is still a warrant out there, and may have advice for you to fix it. Juvenile probation may last beyond a persons 18th birthday.
