compensation law

a salaried employee quit. Employee was paid for the 56 hours worked in that pay period. Now employee wants remainder of her 80 hour check. Is the employee entitled to the remaining 24 hours?

employee is entitled to all time worked. if properly salaried, then only entitled to salary. if non-exempt from Wage and Hour law, then you should check with an attorney and I would be happy to discuss with you.

I believe an employer is required to pay a person on salary a full days pay for any day in which they did any work. If the employee worked less than a full day, the company can allocate sick time or vacation time to reach a full days pay. If the company/employee has no sick or vacation time, the employer must still pay the employee for a full day.
