Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida
Discrimination at work
I was put on suspension because I forgot to clock out for lunch. However a male employee who brags about never clocking out for lunch on purpose received no such discipline for it or suspension. I am the only female warehouse worker and the only one to receive punishment for forgetting to clock out. We switched to a new system that does not make use of time cards so I do forget to even clock in for full days at times as it is very hard for me to adjust to new routines. They are also claiming that they can get back the measly amount for the lunches I forgot to clock in for, spite the fact they still owe me overtime for months ago that I've been fighting with payroll to get.

Re: Discrimination at work
You do make it sound as if you are being treated differently as the only female but your admission that you are not following the rules makes any potential case weak in my personal opinion. Other lawyers might be willing to get involved but you should get on track and follow the company's procedures for clocking in and out.
