Good question!

Not until there is a definite decision not to hire. However, if they have done a background check, credit check or drug test and do not offer you employment, you have the right to see those checks and tests. You should also have the right to see the employment file to see if anyone lied about your past employment when references with past employees were checked.

Get an employment attorney only if you are denied employment. If you get one before hand the company will think you are litigious and not hire you.
