Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida
I was hired through a temp agency to work for Comcast. I received a phone call from one of the ladies with the temp agency an hour before I was supposed to show up for work. She asked me about a charge that was on my background that came up as larceny. I explained to her what happened and that the whole thing was dismissed. She then told me not to go in because she didn't think Comcast would except that on my background.
My question is, is that discrimination? I went back and forth with them for a while. Even gave them a copy of my record proving that it was dismissed. They just gave me the run around and never got back to me.
