Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida
II have light duty restrictions after surgery and my job cannot accommodate them, now they want to cancel all my benefits until I can go back full time, full duty. My fmla time is over. Can they cancel my benefits as of 5/31 if I am able to return on 5/30 on light duty but they're the ones who can't make arrangements? Thank you!

Even though your FMLA time is exhausted, you might be protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). If you are disabled, the ADA requires your employer to engage in the interactive process once you have made a request for reasonable accommodation. Blanket rules refusing accommodations usually violate the ADA. Please visit our site and contact us for more information,.
