Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

I am an non exempt employee in Florida working for a Assisted Living Faclity. My employer has put out a notice that all employees must clock out, and take a 30 min lunch break every day. We are very under staff and never get to take a lunch break or have to eat at our work stations and still work. The employer than takes it upon theirselves to dock everybodys pay 30 min a day. Is this legal?

Thank you

No this would be illegal. If you are being given a lunch break you need to be not working during your lunch break. This is likely a violation the the Fair Labor Standards Act. Feel free to call my office if you wish to discuss this matter.
