Pay scale reduction without prior employee notice .
I was asked to return to teaching at the local high school. I had only been retired 6 months. I signed a pre-contact binder between teacher and school board which states that I was to receive the annual salary of 43,128.57 based on my degree and experience with this county. My daily pay rate was 214.57. On Thursday, Nov 15th, I received a letter stating that I was overpaid and that I would have to repay the overpayment. On the following day my deposit-sub arrived and showed that my daily pay rate had been reduced to 156.01. I have reread my pre-contract binder and no where does it say this is possible.

The contract's provisions will govern. An attorney should review the contract.
