Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Hi! Recently my employer change from paying us by hours while clocking or using a timecard to just recording the time when the machine I work on is in use and paying us only those hours. Is that legal? This week I've been at work more than 45 hours and I'm only getting paid for 37.5 hours.

That is probably not legal and it would be worthwhile to speak to a labopr and employment attorney about the specific facts of your case.

No. You are entitled to be paid overtime for all hours worked over 40 each week and the burden is on your employer to keep accurate time records. For more information on the FLSA or Fair Labor Standards Act check out my employee rights blog www.takethisjobnshoveitblog.com or my website www.behrenlaw.com.
