Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Salary overtime pay..

I work for a local company that owns several gas stations and Subways. I started with the company about 5 years ago as an hourly CSR (cashier) and with in months became the assistant manager.. with in the first year I became a Location Manager and ran my own store and Subway. As a location manager I understood, but never signed any Job Duty Requirement paperwork, that Managers were required to work 45 hours a week with weekends off. I also understood that as a Location Manager I would have to learn and be able to run a Subway fully. I have with in the past three to four weeks been learning and running a Subway as part of my training. While I was the Location Manager I was working at some points 115 hours a week for the same salary pay.. now I have yet (until this week) ever worked less then 45 hours.. I have always worked into the 60 - 100 hours a week. My pay stubs only show me being paid as 40 hours.. as far back as the pay stubs I have, they all just say 40 hours.. our employee hand book have the Managers listed as ''exempt'' employees.. what are the laws on overtime pay when the hours worked are sometimes double the ''required'' worked. any info will be great..

This is a complicated area of the law and one in which you need to see a lawyer. It would surprise me if a cashier as you describe is an exempt employee and you probably have a wage and hour claim.
