Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Salary reduction

I work for a city public works department and they are int he process of transfering the department to the county. Because I have seniority with them, I have been given the option to remain employed with the city, but just found out that my position and salary would be reduced. Is this legal?

It depends on the terms of your employment agreement, but the answer is that it is probably legal.
