Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida
Workplace Harassment
During the two years that I was employed by a software company I was continually harassed physically, emotionally and psychologically by a senior staff member who is approximately 25 years younger than I.
Early on he stated that he ''would harass me until I quit''. When he was unable to make me quit, within 90 days of him becoming my immediate supervisor, I was terminated.
During my emplyoment with the company I became deaf in my left ear due to surgery for a brain tumor which was a continual source from the individual in question of disparaging and sarcastic remarks.
Most incidents are documented with dates, times, witnesses, etc.. I formally reported this behavior to a supervisor who spoke to the individual.
The harassment continued and even escalated when the individual became my immediate supervisor.
I continue to have nightmares about the incidents and my emotional state-of-mind is a wreck...I have lost all my self-confidence.
What can I do stop this individual and company from emotionally scarring other people.

Re: Workplace Harassment
There is not much you can do to prevent it happening to others, but if there is evidence supporting your story, you might have a claim for age and disability discrimination.
