Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
My roommate has been out of work since December 2008, and has been on unemployment. She was just diagnosed with Cervix Cancer and was in the Hospital for 18 days, she's home now, but has to have radiation treatments every day for the next three weeks. Her unemployment ran out and , I have been paying late charges for the rent every month but have been paying. I got a three day notice, and I won't have all the rent together at least until the 23rd of October. Plus I'm also a Single Mom and I don't get any Child support. How long do I initially have to pay my rent or be able to move somewhere else? Are you locked out after three days? Pls advise

No, but the next step is an eviction.
