Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
I am a tent in a house subject to bankruptcy and foreclosure, Public auction is Oct 2nd. I am informed that at that time, the house AND ALL OFF THE CONTENTS (all of which are mine) belong to the purchaser. Is this true? Do they give me notice and a time to move out?

the seller only gets the house and fixtures. Not your personal belongings. If it will be sold October 2, I would plan to be out then or get a new lease with the new owner.

Do you have a lease agreement with the owner of the house? If so, Federal law may require 90 days notice pursuant to the Protecting Tenants at Foreclosure Act. If not given this notice, you may be able to recover damages.
