Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Florida

Car payment

My ex-boyfriend has been driving a car thats under my name and he's continued to make payments until the past 2 months. I want to get the car in my posession because I am still liable for that vehicle if anything should happen to it. The bank has been calling about the car payment. I need to know whats the best way to go about this. Should I get a repo company to get the car? Should I speak to the bank and see if I can get a deferrment until I physically have the vehicle in my posession?
