Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Florida
FL Tenant/Landlord issue. I'm the tenant. I live in an apartment complex and we are responsible for utility bills (water, trash, sewer). I've lived here since Sep 2014 and up until August 2017 our utility bills were presented and collected by a third party vendor. No utility bills have been received since August 2017. In July 2018 we received a nasty memo demanding we pay $50 within a couple days but with no bill. Same happened in Aug 2018, demand for $50 and no bill. Not trying to get out of paying what I owe but I'm not comfortable paying demand amounts without a detailed bill showing services rendered, payments and payment distributions. What are my legal rights?

Your lease agreement defines your legal rights it needs to be reviewed to determine what they are. $50 does not sound like an excessive collection for a year? I would suggest you pay it and put your request for supporting bills in writing.
