Legal Question in Military Law in Florida
NJP and your military records.
I had an Non-judicial punishment almost 10 years ago when I was in the Navy, and I wanted to know if that is still in my records? I have an employment application to sumbmit to a government agency, and they want to know if I had any disciplinary action taken against me while in.

Re: NJP and your military records.
The record of NJP is probably still in your military records unless you petitioned sucessfully to have it appealed or set aside. The important thing to remember is that NJP is NON-JUDICIAL punishment. It is strictly an administrative action within the service and is not a public record or a court record or criminal conviction.
If desired our law firm can obtain and review your prior military records for you.
