Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

intentional injury

I was working for a large construction company building a restaurant in Fla.. The job was nearing completion and I had received a temporary certificate of occupancy to allow the restaurant people to come in and hire and train employees while I completed the job. An employee of theirs tripped me on purpose causing a perminant injury to my knee. What are my chances of receiving a good settelment from this

Re: intentional injury

My initial reaction is that you should contact an attorney licensed in Florida to make sure you are being given the benefit of all available Florida law. If your company is not based in Florida, other state law may apply also.

As to recovery, being injured "on the job" may provide for workers compensation coverage and/or there is the possiblity of a personal injury case based on an assault/battery cause of action.
