Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

I closed on the sale of a Florida home and the monies were wire transferd to my wife's account. The first mtg. was not paid nor the escrow account returned. What are my options?

Who handled the closing? The agent who received the funds in responsible for satisfying the mortgage. As for the escrow that is subject to whatever rules your lender has, and likely they are not going to refund it until the mortgage is satisfied. Send a letter certified return receipt and demand that the closing agent fulfill its responsibilities. You should have hired an attorney to handle the closing and these issues would have been avoided in all likelihood. It will now likely cost you far more to try and rectify them.
