Closing Costs in FL.

Q. In Florida, is there a law that specifies what costs must be paid by a buyer and seller of real estate?

A. Everything is negotiable. There is a FAR/Bar[FL. Assoc. of Realtors and Fla. Bar Assoc.] standard contract for sale that sets forth the general custom of who pays what; but even that is negotiable. Same for local Realtors std. form.
