Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
What is a Petition for Remission or Mitigation of Forfeiture? What's the difference between that and contesting a seizure and forfeiture by filing a claim? I received a letter stating I could do either one concerning property that was seized from home. (Illegally, but hasn't been decided in court as of yet.) I have interest in these items and I feel as I should have those items returned to me. How do I make this happen?

Your question should be reposted in the criminal law section. Personal property that is seized from a home is not real estate.
