rental and roomate
i signed a lease on a condo for a year with another person This person now says they can't afford it and we have not even moved in but the deposit has been paid due to move in on the first of july . Can i force this person to pay since he did sign a year lease with me , or am i going to have to pay . thanks for your time i have given you my cell number

yes, you now have contractual rights to sue for your potential roommates share of the deposit and rent. However, you may in the meantime be responsible for both his share and yours until he pays, it will depend on the language of the lease.
A more immediate solution would be to find another roomate than can pay and will agree to the same terms as the former or to ask your former roommate to find a replacement.
Check your lease for assignment rights, they may have to approve an new replacement roomate if no assignment rights are included in the lease.
