Required number of damage estimates

Under Florida law how many automobile estimates for repair must you get to submit to a insurance company. I have a panmphlet stating that under law you are only required to obtain one estimate. The lawyer for the other party is stating that I need to have at least 3 estimates for repair.

My understanding is that you are only obligated to obtain one estimate. Rather than argue over the lawyer's petty request, I would obtain 2 additional estimates from reliable, professional auto repair shops (including dealers for your car's particular make and model), and document everything you provide to the lawyer (by fax and certified mail, return receipt requested).
