Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
If the state of Florida D. P. F. S. has money from my dead stepfathers bank account and my Mother tries to claim it. Can anyone who he owed money to come after her for payment.

Doubtful.They would need to seek a difficult & lengthy remedy through a court system.

If the funds are paid to her through a probate than a proper claim would need to have been filed in that arena in order to place a proper lien on those funds.
