Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Florida
Civil Trial
I have been subpoenad as a witness in a civil case. I have repeatedly told the attorneys in the case that I did'nt want to be involved. What are my legal rights? Can they make me testify against my will?

Re: Civil Trial
Yes. You are subject to a court order. If you fail to appear, they may seek an Order for you to show cause why you should not be held in contempt. Your desire not to be involved does not matter if you have relevant information. You do have the right to be represented by counsel. If you would like to discuss this further, please call my office.
