Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida

ill fatigue - commercial motor vehicle

Statute: 316.3025

A family member received a $100 fine for ''ill fatigue'' while driving his commercial vehicle in Florida. There is no problem with paying the fine, but should he plead ''no contest'' in hopes of having no points on his lisence, no records, and not having to notify the insurance company? He has no former accidents or tickets and wants to keep his driving record clean. How should he plead and who should he speak with to do so?
