Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida
Multiple Violations - Mail them my check book or Fight it in court
Two days ago I got a ticket for an expired tag. Yesterday I was got three more: expired tag, proof of insurance, & HOV lane violation. The first is iron clad. The most I could hope for is a reduced fine. The last three are all questionable. Expired tag - I'd already paid for a new one the day before. Insurance - I had a card, just for the wrong vehicle. HOV - Hours of operation 7AM-7PM. I was driving there at 7:05 and was blocked from changing lanes by heavy traffic. To top it off I drive a hybrid which Florida law allows in the HOV lane regardless of the number of occupants. Do I have a chance of winning if I took it to court?
