Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida
I just have to ask this question because I feel as if I received a piece of very good luck but perhaps it's standard practice. In my trial (in which I plead not guilty) for an improper left turn, while waiting to face the judge, the officer from the incident approached me. He told me that he was there and the other driver was there. He actually advised my to ask for adjudication withheld. He told me that if I did this I would simply have to pay the fine but I would get NO POINTS and NO TRAFFIC SCHOOL. Of course I took his advice and he was correct. I received no points, had no traffic school and I was even given 90 DAYS to pay the $166 fine. I feel that I was blessed for all of this good luck. Is this normal practice or did I just catch a wonderful break?

It really depends on the judge as to what is standard practice. I can tell you that in my experience this is a typical situation for someone who does not have a bad record.
