Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida
Executor of will
hello. question. my mother lives in fla. her health is slipping. she has a will leaving estate 3 ways equal to me and 2 brothers. she has quit a sum in her checking and savings and cds. i know she put checking and savings joint account with one brother who is also the executor of her will. since my mom health is fading we question him on her estate, he claims since he is on savings and checking and cds this is his money not part of her estate. other than her home what is an estate. i was wondering is he right. my mom has not pass and still in home . should we get a attorney now to stop this or is he accountable for these accounts. my mother lives in beverly hills fla. thank you

Re: Executor of will
Yes, hire an attorney immediately. The money in the account is your mother's/ your mother's estate's. Her Estate Plan could be clarified to head off any future issue.
and do you have a copy of a will?
