Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

revocable living trust

I am thinking of preparing, funding and filing my own revocable trust from forms.

I have adult children whom I do not wish to be beneficiaries of my estate.

Do I need to file trust forms for persons with children or without children?

Re: revocable living trust

If you really want to do this, you should see a lawyer. You do not want to make this a "do it yourself" project.

Re: revocable living trust

Any time you are thinking of disinheriting a child, it may good idea to speak to an estate planning attorney. It's not that you cannot do it, but rather you have to be prepared for the disharmony that you leave behind. We all have reasons for doing what we do and I encourage you to do what you feel is right, but there can be legal issues, such as homestead issues, that may not be accomplished easily with a simple form. Based on the limited information provided, you should speak with an experienced estate planning attorney as I am not sure what you mean by "filing trust forms".
