I have a copy of my friend's trust dated 2002 in which she named me
as one of her beneficiaries. She died
May 20, 2009 and have not been notified by her attorney .How can I find out if the the tust is still in place.

Get in touch with the trustee.

If you know the identity of the nominated Trustee, try contacting he/she. If there is a will filed, try an internet search in the county where your friend died to see if the Will has been probated or an administration started. This may give you the name of the Executor or the attorney for the estate.

I agree with Norman and Bob. The trust document should have addresses for the people you need to contact. If not, check with the Surrogate of the County where the person died to see if any Will probate or Administration has taken place. This may give you contact information leading to the trust information.
