Legal Question in Workers Comp in Florida

workmans comp...

i fell at work, 1 yr ago.. mutiple injuries..it is a workmans comp. claim, can i have a third party claim? for the vendor person who was actually responsible for my injuries?someone mentioned to me a civil suit? sorry but im not getting any input from my lawyer.... plz help me tyvm

Yes you can. The workers compensation carrier will have a "lien" on the proceeds of a third party claim as by law if you wue someone else, the carrier has a right to recoup some or all of the monies that they paid when the accident was due to the negligence of a third party.
