Re: forming a partnership
The best way to start a partnership is to seek the advice of counsel to draft a partnership agreement. If you don't want to do this, you may want to read the Georgia Code relating to partnerships which starts at Sec. 14-2-101. It's available on the internet. There are also general forms on the internet. I don't have a recommendation regarding those forms.
Depending on timing issues, I would be happy to discuss your partnership needs with you. I have a practice in Georgia.
Re: forming a partnership
The type of entity you will want to form depends on many factors liability protection, tax, management, etc. I generally don't recommend forming a true partnership and would probably recommend forming an LLC. It is generally taxed and managed like a partnership, but you also receive the limited liability protection that a partnership does not provide.
