Call your lawyer and ask him or her.
Call your lawyer and ask him/her. We have no way to know what has happened in the suit, what it's about and what is scheduled. Your lawyer does. Note that it is very common for civil litigation to last years and usually that is the voters fault and not your lawyer's since voters refuse to vote for candidates who will fund courts to a proper level where they can hire more judges and clear the backlogs of case.
I agree with both attorneys.
The courts are severely backlogged because of budget cuts. Moreover, criminal cases get a priority over civil cases. In some counties judges handle both criminal and civil. In other counties, judges are dedicated to one or the other type case.
