Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia
Who should pay for lawyer?
I am having trouble with selling my store (leased). The landowner has to approve of selling it to another person...we had to make several contracts...for some reason the landowner says i have to pay for the attorney/lawyer fees because i am the one who wants to sell the store (around 4000 dollars). Is this true?

We do not know the terms of the agreement. Check the paperwork.

It is impossible to determine the answer to your question without access to your agreements with the landowner. You may want to employ an attorney to review them to determine your options and represent your interest in reaching as secure an arrangement as possible with regard to the new occupant. Call me in the event that you wish to discuss what this entails.
