Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia
who should pay
I have a store and i am trying to sell it...we had a buyer and now he is gone because the landowner (i am leasing the store so i do not own it) is not cooperating and is refusing to sell the store. Anyways, the buyer and i have went to the attorney several times and then the buyer said he does not want the store anymore and he wants me to pay for the attorney costs which add up to about $20,000 which i cannot pull out of my pocket...in my opinion he should pay the attorney costs? who should pay....

Re: who should pay
It is impossible for us to guess who should pay the lawyer. We don't know who hired he lawyer, or any other details. That should have been discussed and agreed upon before starting.
Re: who should pay
Outside of a court order or a contract provision addressing the issue, whoever hired the attorney would be required to pay the attorney.
