Legal Question in Construction Law in Georgia
Contractor Abandonment
My builder left my house 50% complete & stole money/materials from me. I can't afford an attorney to sue, so I'm going to file a report w/ the Sheriff--name removed--department. What all can I 'charge' against him & can I include any $ for time I had to take off to finish home? Any other advice helpful.

Re: Contractor Abandonment
You file the police report, and they make the appropriate charges, if any. You don't charge him with anything. To recover your damages, you file a civil lawsuit.
