Legal Question in Construction Law in Georgia
Non completion of contract whole house rewire
A couple of months ago we had a electrical co. fix an outlet in my house. They did a good job. Subsequent to that we had them do the whole house rewire. Everything seemed to be going smoothly till it was time for the city to inspect the work. Obviously I did not pay them for all the work but have paid them 2/3.There was some issues w/ the inspection which have been completed. No one was at fault, however since the issues have been resolved I cannot get a hold of the electrical co to have them set up a time for the inspection so that they can reconnect the new wiring to the outside. I have tried phoning ( 2 numbers ) fax ( no answer) and email...what should I do...as I say in the last email I just want to get this job finished as I am sure they do!!!

Re: Non completion of contract whole house rewire
You cannot force the electrical company to finish the job, but you may file a lawsuit if they do not and are required to under the contract. You may consider filing in magistrate (small claims) court if you are asking for $15,000.00 or less.
