Horrible customer service

I went to a dealership to trade-in my car and buy a new one. I did all my homework and came up with an offer that would make the dealership money, keep me from being scammed, and was affordable. The manager promised me a price and then neglected on that price when I went to sign. Then he told me to leave and tore up my paperwork when I turned down his deal. No one would do anything when I called and complained. Then the same company put a record on my carfax report stating I sold my car to them. They won't take fault for this misleading information, but it's preventing me from being able to sell my car. I can't get any customer service and it's taken up so much of my time trying to get this resolved. Is there anything legally I can do to get them to take resposibility for my car not being able to be sold? I've sent in a complaint to the BBB of atlanta, and they still won't refuse to help me. I have documented proof that it's their fault and all they have to do is resend the correct information to carfax, but they won't. How can I find the corporate office phone number? I get the runaround telling me that the managers are in charge, I know that's false, it's a huge nationally known dealership.

You can probably get company info on their website. Send a letter to the manager and a specific person in the corporate office, and attach a copy of the false report. Tell them what you expect to be done, and when. Do NOT harp on the story about the deal-gone-bad. That is over, largely irrelevant, and simply muddles the real issue. If your letter does not work, get a lawyer to write a letter.
