credit card debt
I want to knowwhat the statue of limitaions on a credit card bills. I got a summons for a bill thats 7 years old and want to know should I go to court and try to fight it or just agree to pay it. I had tried to pay it off back then but they had refused to make arrangements with me when I got behind.

We do not know what state's laws applies with respect to the statute of limitations, or when the time started running. Nevertheless, failing to properly respond and defend will likely result in a valid judgment. If it is a valid debt, as it appears to be, an obvious option is to work out an agreement to honor that obligation in return for an agreement to not report it negatively on your credit reports.
