Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia

Credit card harassment

Just recently i've fallen behind on my credit cards, and over the past 2 weeks 15-20 times a day the same company calls me. I can send the call to viocemail on my cellphone, get someone else to answer the house phone and they get hateful with who ever answers the phones. Recently i tried to set up a payment arrangement and the guy told my husband that the arrangement hadn't been done when i had made the arrangement with a couple of different on that same day. Then a day later they started calling again and haven't stopped. They have even told my husband that they could call a coupld more times if they wanted to until it was paid in full

A consumer lawyer will be able to tell you how to handle this matter without filing for bankruptcy.

You have certain rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. You should consider going to the National Consumer Law Center website to find a Georgia attorney who is listed on that national website.

(www.naca.net) (go to find an attorney on the site).

Currently, I am not taking new consumer cases in Georgia. However that website should direct you attorneys who are well-versed in the area of the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act.
