How long can a credit card company hold us responsible. We had a card 10 plus years ago. I requesed proof of charges and they did not provide it. They are still hounding me.

The best way to stop collection efforts - Pay your debts. Most people would "hound" someone if the other person took their money, promised to pay it back and then refused to do so.
