Obligations on death of card holder

If a person has died and has some credit card debt how do you inform the creidt card and who they hold responsible for the debt. The person was single (Divorced a long time ago)I was his caregiver and need to know the process. Thank you

The administrator/executor will handle claims against the decedent's estate, and communicating with creditors.
