wage garnishment

purchased a car almost 6 years ago. had to give it up as a voluntary repo. my creditor sold it to two other collection agencies. the third collection agency that has had this debt is threatening to garnish my wages, can they do this?and if so, what is the process for a wage garnishment?

After a repo, you still owe the balance after sale. If a creditor has a judgment against you, a garnishment can be filed.

If the amount you owe is large, a bankruptcy may eliminate the debt. If that is something you are considering, contact my office for more details.
