Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
Bounty hunter fees
Bondsman tells my dad (co-signer) that the bounty hunter fee is 1000 and he needs to pay it. My dad did sign a promissory form that he is liable for additional and any cost, but does the bondsman have the rights to just accure any cost for my dad to pay? Thank you much.

Re: Bounty hunter fees
It likely depends on the agreement your father signed. A fee for $1,000.00 for a bounty hunter does not seem too unreasonable. If it were unreasonable then maybe there would be an argument but without reading the agreement I think that your dad owes the money.
