Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

My husband has been out of work and found a business named Finley's Delivery Service. They ship a package to you, you unpack the package and inspect it to be sure it is not damaged, then you re-package it and re-send thru FEDEX. All the shipping charges are covered and you receive tracking labels thru the computer, all you have to do its get it re-packaged and back to FEDEX. We have received one package and everything looks legal, but before we get in any trouble, I would like to know if this is legal. Also they say at the end of the year you will get a 1099

"Everything looks legal" - Actually, it is very clear this is an obvious scam from your second sentence on. How does this look legit? Now you have to be concerned with identity theft, your bank or credit card accounts drained if you gave them any information about that, serious problems with your bank (including possible investigation about your involvement in a criminal enterprise), etc. You need to immediately cease all contact, contact the police and give them the package, and contact any bank or credit card issuer to close any accounts you have given them. If you deposited a check from the criminals, you will owe the bank for the fraudulent check.

He has fallen for one of the most obvious and often reported scams in the world, and it's been on the news for years (it even predates the internet). He is now, by participating, at risk for identity theft, criminal prosecution, fraud investigations with FedEx and his bank etc.

Call the police and FBI and Fed Ex. Give the package to the police. Never talk to the criminals again. Close ALL your bank and credit card accounts. Get credit monitoring and watch your credit reports. Part of this scam is that their check will bounce, and they will take the money out of your bank and possibly empty your account.
